Hello, I’m Shana (pronounced Shay-nuh), and I believe the body inherently wants to heal itself. I’m passionate about helping people navigate the often unpredictable path to wellness, drawing on both my personal experience and education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
My journey with chronic illness, including countless visits to specialists, medications, and surgeries, took a transformative turn in 2013 when I discovered acupuncture. After my first treatment, I felt more relaxed and pain-free than I had in years. This profound experience motivated me to dive deeper into holistic healing.
Acupuncture became a cornerstone of my recovery, particularly after a car accident left me with severe concussion symptoms. The remarkable results I experienced inspired me to pursue a career in TCM, starting as an office manager at a busy acupuncture clinic before eventually becoming a practitioner.
During my battle with endometriosis, acupuncture played a pivotal role in managing my pain and reducing reliance on medications post-surgery. These personal experiences have deeply shaped my approach to healing, and I understand the value of exploring alternative treatments when western medicine alone falls short.
As a neurodivergent practitioner, I bring a personal and deep understanding of the unique needs and experiences of individuals with diverse neurological profiles. I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone feels valued and understood. Acupuncture offers numerous benefits, and I am dedicated to helping my patients experience its calming and healing effects in a supportive environment.
With two Bachelor of Science degrees in Health and Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Acupuncture that required four years of year-round schooling, I bring a strong educational foundation to my practice. As a board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), I had to pass three rigorous board exams to earn this certification. Having treated more than 300 patients while in school, I have gained extensive experience in addressing a wide range of health issues. I am dedicated to lifelong learning, ensuring I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in holistic healing. Whether you’re dealing with pain, stress, digestive issues, or recovery from surgery, I’m here to support and enhance your body’s natural ability to heal and thrive.
